Overview:

Students will be creating color samples and creative descriptive names using an adjective. They will then create a painting using the analogous shades of the one color they selected to work with.

Warm/Cool Painting Lesson

Overview:

This project will allow studentʼs to explore their painting skills and the knowledge of color theory, including analogous, warm and cool colors. They will paint an image that relates to their local community area on transparency film.

Narrative Painting Lesson

Overview:

Students will be given a list of “Identity questions” in which they would select one to reflect on write a response, accordingly. They will then complete a collection of images that respond to the question. With the image collection, students are asked to use the images as inspiration to create a layout that communicates their story within a painting.
